LYRICS:
Bought and wrapped but left inside my cupboard.
365 days now since I wanted you to know how much I cared for you.
I thought it through, found this second-hand bookshop, thought I was pretty smart.
It's the same walk home through the slushy streets.
And it's the same boys choir outside the church.
But there's no tidings of comfort and joy.
First edition, slightly used, the cover's worn but I wrapped it real nice in shining blue and with golden lace.
The snow it fell I guess we fell beside it, silently disintegrating as we hit the ground.
It's the same walk home through the slushy streets.
And it's the same boys choir outside the church.
But now the bells ring out of tune.
And now the snowflakes fall again it's been a year, can hardely remember anything.
But I remember you, and how you danced and sang to Justin Bieber.
"A good song's a good song" you said. We both agreed to that.
It's the same walk home through the slushy streets.
And it's the same boys choir outside the church.
But there's no tidings of comfort and joy.
It's the same songs sung at the gl?gg parties.
But now the words sound fake, what's holy about it?
